What Yiannis Kotsiras told Cosmos radio (WNYE 91.5 fm and online at http://www.gaepis.org/pages/liveaudio.htm) |
Christina tells us: "Kotsiras says that one of his biggest wishes is to help young artists to succeed and another wish is to look after his personal life, which has settled down recently. The interviewer, Polys Kiriacou, asked about his work with Eleni Tsaligopoulou. Kotsiras said that he and Eleni are not co-workers but rather very good friends who do not compete with each other but attempt to share their music and joy with audiences. He said their summer concerts were very special--even more so than the other two times they have toured together. Very festive atmosphere and the audiences really enjoyed themselves. Interviewer expressed his hope that we will see Kotsiras again in NYC sometimes because this last time that they came here, they brought great joy. Kotsiras responded that it would be a great honor to come if not to sing then to just see the many friends and people that he met here this past Spring, and that if he should happen upon a guitar on the way, then he'd sing too because it's good for the soul!" |
